JOE HAWES, CEO

Joe founded Hawes Group in 2005 as a support business for his growing companies, after purchasing Professional Credit in 2001 and founding HealthFirst Financial that same year. McKenzie Credit was added to the mix in 2005. Joe’s previous experience has been working at Professional Credit with his family and running a small process service company while in college. Joe also worked in customer and dealer services at Ford Motor Credit Corporation after graduating from the University of Oregon.

Joe graduated from the Lundquist College of Business at the University of Oregon with a degree in Finance and a secondary in Management in 1988, along with a minor in Sociology. Joe later received his MBA from the Lundquist College in 1994. He has served on the Lundquist College board of advisors since 2017, and continues to be active with the college.

Joe enjoys travel and most activities outdoors. He is an avid skier in the winter and cycles and mountain bikes in the summer. He is also learning to surf. Joe has been active in the American Collectors Association International, HFMA, and other credit and collection organizations over the last 3 decades. He has also served on a number of non-profit board of directors. Needless to say, he keeps busy.
